Hello everyone! My name is Daniel and I am currently enrolling in Kyungpook National University which is located in Daegu, South Korea.

My major is Russian Literature and I am about to become a junior (3rd year) :)

I would like to introduce my university life in KNU simply.

As you can see this is our campus :) It's beautiful isn't it?

This photo was taken back last autumn so it doesn't look like this right now but it looks beautiful in any season!

My university life here was nice because

First, the tuition fee is not that expensive compared to other universities. Since it's a national university it's more affordable I would say

and the fact that they give you an automatic discount of your tuition fee depending on your grades. For example 3.2 GPA for 20% discount of your tuition fee.

This might depend on which department you are in. But if you get good grades you will get a discount and a good chance for a scholarship.

Even with your TOPIK grades. If you enter the university with high TOPIK levels you can get a big discount or get a free entry into university.

Second, there are lots of activites for foreign students.

The office of international affairs provides information to the students about which activites are held during the semester also on seasonal breaks.

I joined the online promotion team during last semester and it was so worth the try. We had an activity promoting the university with shooting videos, making a high quality post to inform about our campus. Other than this they have several activites to join so you can see while you are here!

Third, I like the food here. They have several restaurants in the campus and you can eat the meals with affordable prices. They have a fast food restaurant with pasta right by the library which is on top of the GS25 and there is a big restaurant located in the Student Union Building (Bldg 305) called Cafeteria Cheomseong you can try Dongkatsu(돈까스) and other types of food here as well!

This is my short story of what I like about my campus life here in KNU. I hope this information could help :)
